FLORIDA RANKED NUMBER ONE FOR WORKFORCE AND TRAINING |
| Florida has been ranked as the No. 1 top performing workforce and training state by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the National Chamber Foundation in its second annual Enterprising States report released on June 21, 2011. Last year, Florida was No. 2 in the national study. The study states that education is a key element in job creation and job placement. "By 2018, 63 percent of the nation's jobs will require some type of post-high school training credential. In some states, that number is over 70 percent. This has placed education and training of workers at the center of a new paradigm for economic growth. State leaders are realizing that education and training programs must be aligned with the jobs open within the state. This alignment can only occur with explicit cooperation between education, government, and the business community."- Enterprising States.
